Autodesk Pixlr

Autodesk Pixlr gives you the possibility of editing pictures on the fly. If you wish to make a few quick adjustments or give your photos an artistic look, you can do it in no time with this application. It is available for Mac OS X and Windows and you can also find it as an online editor, which can be used on a web browser, without downloading anything. The application is offered free of charge, but it is also possible to pay for a Pro membership, which brings additional benefits.

Unlike most image editors on the market, Autodesk Pixlr comes with a clean and efficient user interface. Once you import a picture, you can start editing right away, without any kind of distractions. Everything you need can be found in a series of menus and sub-menus, which are presented as tiles on the left side of the interface.

Besides the application's fast editing tools, like the red-eye remover, cropping, sharpening and blurring features or others, you can also find a wide range of predefined special effects, stickers, borders and overlays. They are neatly categorized and you only need to click one of these items to apply it on your image. To avoid wasting disk space, most presets are located on the cloud, so you have to download them first, which takes only a few seconds and no additional effort.

When you apply an effect or another element, its effects will be visible right away on your picture. Furthermore, a small configurations panel will show up, once you apply an effect, so you can make the applied effect more or less visible or adjust it in other ways. You can save your work in popular formats, like JPG, PNG, BMP or TIFF, with or without EXIF information.
